Well, Riley’s been excited for me to blog about this one, so here it goes honey! Riley’s mother gave us a homemade noodle maker for Christmas, of which, only Riley has been so ambitious to utilize. He blew us all away this time! (And the oven, which will be explained later.) This lasagna was inspired from a neighbor who is from Italian descent, and so kindly gave us a huge pile of noodles as a home welcoming present. (We recently moved in.) Riley’s Dutch oven lasagna had triple the calories.
Riley served a proselyting mission in Portugal, so this recipe has plenty of spices, and shredded carrots in the sauce. The noodles were so lovely, the perfect amount of crispy on top, and melty soft, with an ever so slight chew in the middle.
Well, as you may imagine, this recipe had a lot of grease from the cheese. This grease naturally spilled over. Each time I cooked thereafter, the oven smoked up. Eventually, it Flamed up into a scary burst of Fire, and Riley saved the day by pouring baking soda on it. Luckily I had recently learned just the cleaning product for him to use (see Domestic Dolls: Spring Cleaning below.) And he especially saved the day, by cleaning the oven out.

Isn’t he a delectable handsome? An amazing lasagna and a clean oven!

That is one handsome cuss.
